Candle Care.

All of our jar and sculptural candles are individually created and hand poured with love, therefore they are all unique and will burn differently. However, by following our simple candle care tips and safety precautions you will ensure you get the most out of your candles when burning.

Our sculptural candles are designed to be statement decor pieces in your home however if you wish to burn them be sure to follow our candle care tips listed below.

First Burn / Ongoing use

  • Before each burn, trim your wick to roughly 5mm. This will ensure a clean burn by avoiding black smoke and an unsteady flame. If burning your sculptural candle, remove any tags before burning.

  • When burning your candle for the first time, burn for a minimum of 2 hours to allow the wax melt pool to reach the edge of the glass. This will allow an even burn and prevent tunnelling for ongoing use.

  • Store your candles in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight to avoid discolouration and sweating.

Candle Safety

  • Always burn your candle on level, heat resistant surface. This will prevent any damage to surfaces and collect any drips of melted wax.

  • Do not move candle when lit.

  • We recommend you only burn your candles for 3-4 hours at a time as the vessel can become quite hot and shatter (less time for sculptural candles).

  • Never leave a lit candle unattended. Monitor your candle when burning and extinguish when leaving the room.

  • Always place your candles out of reach from children and pets.

  • Keep candles out of drafts and clear of anything flammable.

  • Stop the use of you candle when 1.5cm of wax remains in the bottom of the jar.
